Next, obtain the gown by either reaching for it from the circulating nurse or lifting it from the sterile table while maintaining sterility. Open the gown by grabbing the inside below the neckline and allow it to unfold away from the body. Then, place both arms inside the sleeves without touching the outside of the gown, and have the circulating nurse assist in pulling the gown on and tying it in the back. Finally, apply sterile gloves to complete the process.
